By accessing or using LightHouse ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LightHouse is an AI-powered household task management application designed to help families distribute and track household responsibilities fairly. The Service includes:

• AI-powered task detection from connected calendar services
• Intelligent task assignment and distribution among household members
• Task tracking, scheduling, and completion management
• Analytics and insights on household task distribution
• Notifications and reminders
• Integration with third-party calendar services

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.

4. Household Accounts

The Service allows you to create households and invite other members. When you create a household:

• You are responsible for managing household membership and permissions
• You must have appropriate consent to add other individuals to your household
• Household members may view and interact with shared task data
• Removing a member from a household will revoke their access to household data

5. Subscription and Payment

5.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fees.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period after the notice.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or functionality of third-party services.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, functionality, design, and branding, is owned by LightHouse and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express permission.

You retain ownership of content you create within the Service (such as tasks, notes, and preferences). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIGHTHOUSE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LightHouse and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which LightHouse is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and LightHouse regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
